It has been a trend in Bollywood now that year ends with a boom with Aamir Khan’s Movie. Whether Dhoom 3, Ghajini or 3 Idiots, Bollywood’s fall ends with Mr. Perfectionist with a bang. Aamir Khan’s much awaited movie P.K has been released on this Christmas Holidays. Directed by Raj Kumar Hirani and Produced By Vidu Vinod Chopra, the makers have magnificent history as they gave the gems like Munna Bhai Series and 3 Idiots. Let’s talk about P.K.
P.K. (Aamir Khan) is an Allien Astronaut, landed on earth to find the life existence. But in minutes, his remote (A device to send signals to UFO) got stolen by a thief. He must find the remote in order to go back home. During his search, Events happen that make P.K to find God. In His journey to find God, P.K challenge people’s beliefs in God’s Men instead of believing God Itself.
The story of P.K is unique on the whole and a bold attempt in Bollywood. However, its central idea may resemble with a past Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal Hit OMG. The resemblance is only with the idea that both movies ask Questions on some of the illogical Religious Believes, nothing else. Raju Hirani and Abhijit Joshi has done a fantastic job in writing a promising script. The movie is equally entertaining and emotional. I have never seen people laughing so loudly in a theater. Specially, first half is a continuous laughing exercise.
As far as performances are concern, Aamir Khan excels in the role of P.K. It is perhaps the most challenging role of his life. And Aamir did a marvelous, fantastic, monstrous job. He once again prove why he is being called Mr. Perfectionist. It is his best performance till date. You will see P.K on the screen not Aamir. Anushka Sharma did complete justice with her role. She looks beautiful loveable charm in the movie. Sanjay Dutt, Shushant Singh Rajput and Boman Irani also shines well.
Music of PK is composed by Shantanu Moitra, Ajay-Atul and Ankit Tiwari. The music is strictly good. Track , love is waste of time, has already been popular on Satellite TV Charts. I have no doubt now that as a Director Raj Kumar Hirani has different sensibilities. His style of portrayal of a serious subject on a light note with humor toppings is again delicious.
On the whole, P.K is a gem, a solid entertainer. You cannot afford to miss this one. I can bet you P.K would not let you down. It is the best work of the best people in B-Town. Go and watch P.K in theaters near you.
