Why Is It Getting Hard For New Bloggers To Drive Traffic In Presence Of Strong Blogs?
The frequent updates of Google algorithm make SEO difficult day by day for new bloggers. It is because that now Google prefer the authority websites to rank high. The authority comes with Domain Age, Number of other authority websites and blogs linking to yours, Your Unique Content and many more other factors.
Let’s make the point.
- If you are a new blogger, your blog has a low Domain Authority, Quality Backlinks and Number of Unique Meaningful Content. At this stage, you need a lot of time and hard work to generate organic traffic.
- For new blogs and websites, if you have budget then go for a content marketing expert like Umar Khan. But if you are short of it and you decided to work yourself, you need to find other ways to generate traffic other than organic. There are four main traffic sources to any website.
Organic Traffic (Search Engine Traffic)
Social Traffic (Generated by Social Media)
Referral Traffic (Generated by Links You Place over Internet)
Recently, I posted a question on Quora; “Is it hard in 2015 to generate organic traffic in the presence of big blogs?”
80 / 20 Rule Of Content Marketing and My Opinion.
Derek Halpern of Social Triggers posted;
Content Marketing’s 80-20 Rule states: Spend 20% of your time creating great content and 80% of your time distributing that content to reach as broad an audience as possible.
I partially believe this quote. In an extend that if your new blog post is getting reads by 1000 people, chances are that with spending right time to promote it, other 5K or 10K readers may take benefit with your content. But one thing is sure; it does not mean that you should avoid generating quality content and puts all your energy into promoting it. The content is the hero. You should create a high quality content and then spend double time to market it, it defiantly will get traffic.
